Presenters Winston Blazer, POA General Manager, and Bruce Johnson, POA Board President updated us on the POA’s 2017 accomplishments, Villagers’ Concerns and 2018 Goals. Next up Rachel Baker, Executive Director of Loudon County Visitors Bureau and Joe Bogardus, Chairman LCVB, educated us on how tourism is translating into tax relief for each of us and identified new attractions under consideration for development. Bill Watkins rounded out the meeting with an informative and humorous presentation on Loudon Utility Boards (LUB) history and growth, the new Davis Ferry substation, the outage process, and planned improvements to continue to provide low-cost reliable power to our homes.
